Aspire Fiber closes new credit facility and increases equity commitments to accelerate its Southern California buildout
Aspire Fiber, a 100% fiber-optic internet provider serving Southern California, has closed a new $80 million senior secured credit facility led by Third Coast Bank and CIBC. At the same time, its equity partner Arenova Capital has increased its equity commitment to $75 million — together accelerating the company's fiber buildout across the region.
What it funds
The new capital supports Aspire Fiber's expansion into Santa Clarita, following its successful launch in Moorpark, with additional California markets in the pipeline. In practice it is what turns a strong local network into a regional one: more crews in the ground, more cabinets turned up each month, and a build schedule the company can commit to as it lays 100% underground fiber-to-the-home.
What the team is saying
"We are deeply excited about the additional capital and partnership from Arenova, Third Coast Bank, and CIBC," said Stephen Weatherford, founder and chief executive officer of Aspire Fiber.
David Li, managing partner of Arenova Capital, and Tim Sackson, executive vice president of corporate banking at Third Coast Bank, each pointed to Aspire's growth and the opportunity to support its continued expansion across Southern California.
