WHAT TO EXPECT
DURING CONSTRUCTION
AND INSTALLATION
Construction
- 01Our construction is conducted in 3 phases. Each time you see our crew on your street, they shouldn’t be there for longer than a day.Post construction, we will be handing our door tags with a QR code that you can scan to complete a survey and let us know how our crews did while constructing your fiber optic network.
- 02We work in the public right-of-way, which in many neighborhoods runs along the edge of your property and can look like part of your yard. Our crews do their best to restore the area to its original condition once the work is complete.
- 03We have an agreement with the City of Santa Clarita to place fiber duct access at every home and business we pass. This makes sure the entire city has the option to access or switch to fiber internet, whether you sign up now or somewhere down the road.
- 04When there is existing conduit in good condition, we use it. But existing lines are often obstructed, collapsed, or already full, which means they cannot carry our fiber. In most cases we install our own new duct so you get a clean, reliable connection built to last.
- 05Our crews places door tags one week before construction begins in your area, and we post no-park signs three days before work starts. Both include a QR code that links to our website, where you'll find videos on what to expect throughout the construction process.
- 06They are not. This is a privately funded project built at no cost to taxpayers. Under our nonexclusive agreement with the City of Santa Clarita, the city actually earns revenue from the project: it receives a share of our gross revenue for services provided within city limits, with a guaranteed minimum of $7.75 million to the city's general fund over the first 20 years. In other words, this project is designed to benefit the city and its residents, bringing 100% fiber internet to the community, bridging the digital divide, and future-proofing Santa Clarita while putting money back into the city.
- 07No. Deploying our fiber network does not affect existing networks. We are building a completely brand new network using fiber optic cables rather than coax, and it is installed underground.
- 08Yes. Our crews work along the edge of the street, which is why we ask that you avoid parking there during construction. We will not block your home or driveway for any extended period. In most cases we are simply passing by.
- 09For all questions and concerns, we encourage residents to call our main number at (805) 322-0086 or email us at hello@aspirefiber.com. You can also share your experience through our construction feedback survey linked below.
